Registration for classes can be in person, by phone or on-line. You must be paid for a class to receive a class supply list. When you register on-line for a class you will receive a follow up e-mail with the supply list. If you want to use a classroom machine call Big Sky Quilts to reserve a machine and make arrangements to learn how to use the sewing machine. You need to be familiar with the sewing machine you are using, including threading the machine and winding a bobbin.

DIME Design Workshop

Quilting with your embroidery machine is one of today's most sought-after embroidery skills. Half of this 5-hour class includes hands-on stitching and quilting activities. Lecture demonstration with hands-on quilting and embroidery segments. Students will stitch a Make and Take Project: a quilt block with a 3-D applique. Embroidery machine provided.


Topics covered: Design an entire quilt top using state-of-the-art fabric design software; Experiment with repeating patterns to create allover fabrics; Learn piece in-the-hoop techniques for piecing quilt blocks on an embroidery machine; Learn the quilt-as-you-go method for quilting using Stipple products

At the Quilting Stations: Test drive the Weightless Quilter - the solution for handling bulky quilts; Stitch machine embroidered quilting designs using the shortE; Stitch a 3-D applique; Quilt and take home an appliqued quilt block

Mystery Beginner Bag

Have you ever wanted to create a bag but have no idea where to start? Want to practice using new material, for an extra flare use CORK but desire a simple project to perfect your skills? Well then you're in luck. Together we will create an amazing beginner friendly bag. You may use yardage or fat quarters for this project.

Twist and Turn Bargello Runner

Join me as we learn how to create a Bargello table runner. With this technique you will easily be able to tackle a quilt top. You'll create strip sets slice and dice them and arrange the colors to create a flawless look.
