Handi Quilter Pro-Stitcher/Art and Stitch Educational Event
June 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8, 2019
This is your once a year opportunity to take advantage of in-depth education for the HQ Pro-Stitcher and integration of Art and Stitch program to enhance your long arm quilting creativity. 5 days of training, 2 sessions per day. Each class builds on the previous session. Hands-on and lecture training will be presented by certified HQ educator Susan Manry. Susan is the hostess for Handi Quilter Pro-Stitcher Posse. This is will be the last opportunity to take advantage of this in-depth art and stitch training for the next few years.

BIG SKY QUILTS CLASSES
Registration for classes can be in person, by phone or on-line. You must be paid for a class to receive a class supply list. When you register on-line for a class you will receive a follow up e-mail with the supply list. If you want to use a classroom machine call Big Sky Quilts to reserve a machine and make arrangements to learn how to use the sewing machine. You need to be familiar with the sewing machine you are using, including threading the machine and winding a bobbin.

Need a gift for a family member, thank you to a special person or just for fun surprise?
Join us to create a unique project to use yourself or share with others. Each session participants will have the opportunity to complete one or several items. April projects will be a choice of small bags.
Open Sew
Our classroom is available for quilters to come and work on those UFO’s in your closet. Every Wednesday from 1 pm to 8 pm you are welcome to come in and work. Cutting tables and irons are available. Bring your own machine or use a classroom machine. You will need to purchase needles and bobbins if you are using a classroom machine or bring needed accessories with your machine. Please call the shop at 727-1757 to be sure the classroom will be available.
Ruler of the Month Club
Get exclusive ruler kits and tutorials delivered straight to Big Sky Quilts each month! The Long arm Ruler of the Month Club is great opportunity to challenge your quilting skills and build ruler work confidence. Each month in the six-month series features a debut acrylic ruler paired with mentorship from your local shop, step-by-step video instruction and design ideas. This will be the last session for this series. A new session featuring more exciting rulers will be announced soon.

Twister Gnomes Table Runner
A fun, easy holiday table runner pattern combining use of applique gnomes and pinwheels made from the Lil Twister tool. Bonus templates for mini gnomes included for use on coordinating items such as potholders, kitchen towels or other projects. Finished size is approximately 15 inches wide by 39 inches long. Create a background panel using 2 contrasting fabrics cut in 5 inch squares and borders and the Lil Twister Tool to cut the pinwheels. Applique gnomes, quilt as desired, and add your binding to create this fun table runner. This class is being offered twice on April 4. Each session stands alone; the evening class is not a continuation of the afternoon class. Cost is $25.00 for individual session. Register at least 2 weeks in advance to insure sufficient supplies are available.

Companion Tool Case to Ruler Bag
This handy zip up tool case is a perfect way to store and carry all your equipment to class. It is a companion piece to the Ruler Bag class offered previously. Use complementary fabric to create an organized way to travel with all your essential quilting supplies organized and safely. The Tool Case measures 9-1/2 inches H x 12-1/2 inches W x 1-1/2"D when closed and opens to 12-1/2 inches H x 20-1/2 inches W. You'll love this handy zip-up Tool Case to store and carry a variety of tools, from rotary cutters and scissors to markers, turning tools, small rulers, and more. A variety of easy-to-access pockets in vinyl, mesh, and quilted fabric can be customized to fit the tools you use and love. You will learn easy techniques for quilting with Soft and Stable sewing with mesh and vinyl, installing zippers and binding. To make the best use of class time, please cut out the fabric pieces and quilt the appropriate pieces according to the instructions on page 2 of the pattern before coming to class. Complete everything in section 1. Cut and quilt. Register at least 2 weeks in advance to insure sufficient pattern and supplies are available.

Flying Geese Table Runner April 2019
This class is an opportunity to combine machine piecing and applique into an attractive wall hanging or table runner. Skills will include making no waste flying geese in several sizes and using fusible backing appliques.
This is a quick and easy project. The kit for the table runner contains pattern, fabric and fusible, precut geese to applique on the top after it is pieced together. The background is pieced, including flying geese blocks of several sizes. Register at least 2 weeks in advance to insure kit and ruler is available.
THIS CLASS IS A REPEAT 0F THE MARCH 14 CLASS. IT IS NOT A CONTINUATION OF THAT CLASS.

Connecting With Diamonds Lap Quilt
Make this colorful throw with blocks set on point. Use seasonal focal fabric with large square, setting and corner triangles bordered with two coordinating fabrics. Sashing is added to separate blocks. Finished size is approximately 50 x 70 inches.
This class will be the opportunity to work with setting blocks set on point and two different options to connect the sashing giving the top different looks. Basic techniques of working with triangles with bias edges, applying border on bias edges, stitch and flip to form star point effect to join sashing strips.

Gather 4-6 friends and an idea of what kind of class you want, and call Marlene(406-727-1757) on a Wednesday to work out details. We will get a model made and set up your class on your timeframe.

Class Registration Policy: In order to sign up for a class, YOU MUST PAY IN ORDER TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE IN THE CLASS. Class fee is due at the time of registration. The class fee does not include supplies or materials for the class unless noted. You will receive a complete class supply list at that time. Class registration can be completed on-line, by phone or in person. Payment can be made by debit/credit card, check or cash. Payment must be in US currency. If the class must be cancelled due to low enrollment, we will notify you five (5) days in advance and refund your class fee. If YOU cancel fourteen (14) days prior to the class Big Sky Quilts will refund your class fee. After the 14 day point, whether you attend or not, we are still committed to the instructor fee and cannot issue a refund. Unopened merchandise, in its original packaging is eligible for a return with a 25% restock fee. Cut fabrics and copyrighted materials, such as books and patterns, are not returnable
Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy for national instructors and special events/workshops/retreats: if Big Sky Quilts cancels the event those registered will receive a full refund of fee; if participant cancels there will be a $25 non-refundable fee for any cancellations that are made at least 30 days prior to the first day of the event; a store credit will be issued for the balance. For cancellations within 30 days of the first day of the event there will be no refunds unless we have a class wait list and can find someone to fill your spot.
