Flying Home Wall Hanging Quilt Pattern PTN2871

Flying Home quilt pattern features Northcott's the Lion and the Lamb fabric collection. The large panel measures 43" x 28", the block print is running yardage with the squares measuring approximately 8" x 8". Of course, you could use other panels, too.

The pieced border is made up of Flying Geese blocks, with two fabrics as backgrounds. The Flying Geese are flying up and away on each side. One of my testers used a vertical panel and her Flying Geese are on the top and bottom instead of the sides, had the geese flying in different directions. Another option is to use a large scale print, as I did with a large floral.

The pattern can be adapted to various sizes of panels by adjusting the size of the strips separating the Flying Geese, or adding more Flying Geese.
